Replacement Sealed Double Glazing
Failed double glazed units also know as misted up, blown or broken down double glazed units are where the seal has broken in the unit causing any water to seep into the void between the two panes of glass. Issues can also arise after a few years as the desiccant inside the plastic bar reaches the point where it cannot absorb any more moisture. In certain temperatures the glass can also condense causing the unit to look like the picture below.
Broken or cracked double glazing can either be replaced or split and re-sealed by our qualified glaziers. It is usually more cost effective to replace them rather than having to go to the expense of a full frame replacement but our glaziers would advise the best option when surveying.
